Experience Summary
Taught at all different levels of proficiency and ages.
Taught piano lessons at Pensacola Christian College for nine years. While there, performed several times as soloist, with orchestra, as well as part of faculty recitals. Taught workshops for varied instruments, accompanied instrumentalists and choirs.
Taught piano and other musical subjects in Brazil.
Taught private piano lessons in Tampa for many years, preparing students for recitals, school auditions and competitions.
Served as church pianist as well as choir director for several years.
Teaching Style
I have it as my mission to make the lessons lively and enjoyable, focused on the student playing the whole time. The student will start playing from the very first lesson (if a beginner), or he will start where he is at at the moment, not being made to go back to a lower level. I try to use the materials that the student already has, not forcing the constant purchase of new material that may be unnecessary.
My Hobbies
I enjoy art in general, and I draw and paint whenever I get a chance.
