About Me

Experience Summary

I have been teaching since 2004. I have taught in an inner city school ( four years) and I am currently teaching at Churchill High School (fifth year). I understand the struggle students have with mathematics. I understand the frustration when a topic is explained but understanding is not achieved. My goal in tutoring is not to make money, though I charge a fee, but I desire to provide help to students that have difficulty in math. I want to give students the tools necessary to be successful in Algebra, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus. I remember my struggles in math when I was in high school and I realize the importance of clarity of instruction. As a teacher my number one goal is that my students understand the material being taught to the point they can explain it to someone else.
