I am licensed to teach Mild/Moderate Educational Needs K-12 and Reading K-12. I have worked as an intervention specialist in a school district. This is now my second year teaching reading at the elementary level.

•Administered the Direct Instruction, My Sidewalks, and Early Reading Intervention reading programs to enhance students' skills in phonological awareness, phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary
•Utilized assessment data from DIBELS to facilitate reading intervention groups based on the tier levels from the Response to Intervention model by incorporating technology such as the Smart Board and research based strategies from Fountas & Pinnell
•Communicated with classroom teachers to discuss student learning and how to differentiate instruction in order to meet the needs of every child

•Inspired an Autistic student by reinforcing math, reading, writing, and social skills using the PECS communication system to increase amount of time within an inclusion classroom

•Guided a first grade student utilizing the Everyday Math and Reading Street math and reading programs to promote fluency and confidence in literacy and maintaining competency in subject areas studied by peers in the classroom
