Experience Summary
While a student, I started teaching piano at the community music school at my college. In January 2010, I started teaching privately in Loves Park, IL. I now maintain a studio of 20-25 active students. I also am a licensed kiddykeys instructor. Kiddykeys is a preschool music appreciation and keyboard exploration course which teaches basic music skills to children ages 2 1/2-5.
Teaching Style
I believe in wholistic music education, so I teach note reading, music theory, and ear training. I use instruction, interactive activities, games, and performance opportunities to give students a relaxed and complete understanding of playing and performing at the piano.
