Experience Summary
Eight years of tutoring math subjects for middle school and high school students. I have a keen interest in math and have always enjoyed helping students grasp the essence of a problem and its mathematical solution. I worked for many years in the corporate world, designing and programming mid-range and large scale computers.
Teaching Style
I try to present each subject area as a sample problem and show EXACTLY how a solution is reached. Then I invite the student's participation with a view toward understanding the student's thinking. While accuracy in math is vital, understanding the steps involved is crucial.
My Hobbies
I enjoy some golf and reading, mostly history and English literature. I used to play a lot of tennis and I still follow it closely, but my legs have started to fail me.

I used to wonder what I would do in retirement. Tutoring has become an avocation which I find very fulfilling.
