Experience Summary
I have taught grades K-9 in regular and special education, and for an independent study program. I began as a substitute teacher in Pasadena. Then I moved to the San Fernando valley where I taught English at a private school and Special ed. students at Los Angeles Unified School District. After that, I taught for an independent study charter school and now I'm substitute teaching.
Teaching Style
I always find out what the student needs are and then plan instruction to meet them.
I break down goals into smaller objectives and make sure that the student/s know what they are.
I give a lot of feedback so that the students know how they are doing and how they can improve.
I am very patient, caring, and dedicated to the success of my students.
My Hobbies
I enjoy hiking, traveling, arts and crafts, surfing the web, gardening, and taking care of my dogs and cats.
