Experience Summary
I was a Mild to Moderate Special Education Teacher for 13 years in the City of compton. I was a Special Day Class (SDC) teacher for 5 years in a Middle School. I was Resource (RSP)teacher for 8 years in a high school setting. I thought Alegebra I and Geometry for math for 3 years. I am currently tutoring students to pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE). I also tutor students with their reading, reading comprehension, and spelling. I am currently working on my Masters in Education with a Single Subject in math with National University. I worked on my Special Education credential and completed all my College courses.
Teaching Style
I use lots of hands-on and visual to differenciate my teaching. I relate my teaching to real world experience for students to comprehend.
My Hobbies
I have 5 children that keeps me busy and we hang out and play rugby, basketball, and volleyball. I enjoy dancing and playing the piano.
Other Comments
I am an educator that understands, every student learns differently; therefore, differenciate lessons and instructions by using hands-on, visuals, kinestic, and realia of our world can meet and support all learners.
