Experience Summary
2010 Graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Aesthetic Communication with a Psychology focus and an Art minor. I have 5+ years of experience working in education in both private and center environments. I worked with infants- 15 year olds at Kindercare Learning Centers as a Teacher, Summer Camp Coordinator, and Art Integration Specialist. I have worked based off of a curriculum, made my own lesson plans, and created supplemental activities for the children i have worked with. I have experience working towards individual learning goals and experience working with kids with physical, emotional, psychological, social, and sensory processing issues. I have also worked as a private Tutor and Nanny. As a part of these tasks I have worked on daily homework, special projects, and specific topic/ subject struggles.
Teaching Style
I believe that every individual learns differently and believe it is my job to figure out the most conducive way to work with a student. I believe in creative learning and being willing to approach a topic in a different way if it means a successful education experience. I believe in considering the whole self when it comes to learning (aka the emotional, physical, social, and environmental aspects of an individual) and how these other things relate back to the student I am working with. I believe learning is life long and exciting, and strive towards making it enjoyable and fun for everyone involved in the learning process!
My Hobbies
I love making art, looking at art, reading, cooking, learning everything i can about everything I can, people, my family, and my Yorkie Poo Hiro!
