Experience Summary
I have been dancing for 22 years. I grew up in a competition studio, Green Hills School of Dance, where I was trained in Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, and Modern styles of dance. With the studio I traveled to New York and Los Angeles to train under professional choreographers. In 2005 I began teaching at Green Hill School of Dance. I taught there for four years and I taught ages four through adult in the styles of Tap, Hip Hop, and Jazz. I then joined a agency named DDO where I was booked for a couple of Music videos and tours. From there I moved to Atlanta to further my dance knowledge and skills. I joined a performance group called UpRock, where I traveled around the country doing performances for the Salvation Army. In Atlanta, I have taught at many dance studios. At Starbound Dance Company, I taught their recreational classes along with their Competition Dance Team where we received many awards for best dance and best choreography. I have taught at McClendon where I taught their tap classes, and at Dance 411 where I teach their kids tap classes, ages four through seventeen.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is fun but serious. I love having fun in my classes but my students always know that I mean business and there still is that line of respect and understanding. When I teach Tap I always have warm ups, skills, and combination. I always try to leave my students with skills to practice and homework for the next class. After working on skills, I take the skills and put them into a short combination to practice. I have been trained in classic Broadway Tap and whats called Hoofing ( Happy Feet style lol ). The most important part of my teaching style is my passion though. I love tap and I love to share my passion to others.
My Hobbies
Singing, Art, Music, Drama, Basically anything involving the arts.
