Experience Summary
I am a Sophomore attending Sonoma State to receive my Teaching Credential and Bachelors in Liberal Arts within four years. I have over seven years experience teaching within a classroom, and teaching students one on one. I really love to teach and I not only can teach mostly everything in an elementary school, and some subjects in middle school and high school, but I also have a lot of experience in extracurriculars. I have thirteen years of experience in a private art class, studying sketching, acrylic painting, oil painting, also a little sculpting. During high school I had two years of solo vocal classes and three years of choir. My sophomore through senior year I studied under my choir director who has many credentials including a two masters and one doctorate all in various vocal and musical theory studies.
Teaching Style
I would say my teaching style is really focused on the student and what they need. In school I was an average student never getting lower than a C or higher than in an A. So I really want to focus on listening to the student, especially because they probably are not heard at school. I want to make each subject interesting to the student, whether that means going out and playing basketball or chess or candy or anything the student absolutely loves. I want to attach each subject to a good memory, I don't want to pressure them or push them to just memorize facts that I know they will probably forget after they are tested. From my own personal experience I want any student I tutor to turn around and actually enjoy learning about a subject they are having trouble with.
My Hobbies
I like to write, play the piano, sketch, write my own music and lyrics. I love helping out in an elementary school classroom. I love to write essays for my classes (not weird just love to write). I love to paint and hang out with my friends at Starbucks. I am definitely a Starbucksaholic! lol :) I also absolutely love watching movies.

I am a tutor who will help you come to love a subject that you have had a lot of trouble on. I am someone who will not just be your tutor but your friend. I really want you to actually learn to love a subject that has been made to become your enemy.
