Experience Summary
I have been teaching in 3 different states, grades K-8, since 1989. I am especially successful with difficult to reach students. My experience and success will speak for itself. My specialty is working with students who have emotional/behavioral/ or attention issues. I simply love to teach, which is why I have stayed with it for so long.
Teaching Style
I am a leader in positive behavior plans, teaching students with emotional/behavioral/attention issues. I am well received by students and build rapport quickly. Math is my passion, although, it was not always so. I did not become excited about math until I started teaching it. This probably explains why students are successful with me as I know the steps which are needed to really understand and internalize math concepts. I help students remember step using many different types of devices. I never give up and continue to work with the student until they are confident.
My Hobbies
I enjoy white water rafting, reading, any thing to do with water and the outdoors. I was born in Wyoming so fishing, hiking, camping, and anything to do with nature is the place for me.

| I have taught in the elementary setting 10 years. My total teaching experience is 23 years at the elementary and middle school level. I am able to teach all subjects up to 8th grade. I hold an Arizona certification for these levels. |
