Experience Summary
Hi! While I love tutoring, this particular site charges for contact, which I am not in a position to support. I am, however, also easy to find on a rivaling website (ends in ANT), just look for the ASVAB tutor in Muskegon who has been rated and reviewed.
My pet project for years has been my ASVAB tutoring program. I began helping men and women get through the ASVAB test in 1998 (when I enlisted) and over time I developed a tutoring system that has been applied to dozens of successful military applicants. In reality, though, I've been tutoring longer than that. I helped tutor younger children when I was in middle school and I continued to tutor and mentor in a variety of arenas for the next twenty years. Young children, special needs students, rehabilitated criminals, and senior citizens have all found some form of success with my approach.
Teaching Style
I don't apply cookie cutter anything to students. I'm patient and analytical so I like to see how the pupil absorbs material and find a way to make it relevant to him/her for better retention.
My Hobbies
I'm a bit of an oddball. I carry a shotgun in a pink case, I use to love to 4X4 (when I had a truck), I do sudoku in ink, I listen to music way too loud, I dance with my dog in the yard, and I love languages (I have a degree in Spanish but I have also studied French, Korean, ASL, and a tiny bit of Arabic, Russian, and Swahili...though I couldn't carry on a polite conversation in any of the latter three). I'm a slow but avid reader, a movie nut, and aspiring farmer.
Other Comments
To get a better idea of who I am imagine a smart police officer on the street in a rough city who wears two sets of hot pink handcuffs. That's me.
