Experience Summary
In my eight years of experience as a tutor dealing with students from grades eight through college, I have come to learn that, with the right thinking tools, anybody can grasp seemingly complicated subjects very quickly. I focus on exactly what is confusing the student and correct it before it creates further confusion. I also implement various applications of the subject being taught because i believe that it forges a greater understanding and it tends to become much easier. Every student I have dealt with has walked away becoming more interested in the subject because it was applicable to real life. I've concluded that most professors have stayed in academia for far too long, and they are not as familiar with its application to industry. Application requires creativity. I am a full time structural engineer at Rosenwasser/Grossman Consulting Engineers.
Teaching Style
What sets me apart from other tutors is that I am able to apply the material I learn to real world examples which makes learning it more valuable. Too much theory leaves a student confused and incapable of recognizing its presence in our daily life. With my unique approach, I provide examples relating to all kinds of sports, simple machines, bridges, automobiles, pumps, rocket propulsion, water guns, martial arts and boxing using Newtons 3-laws. The key here is that any physical phenomena can be modeled with a mathematical and physical equation.
My Hobbies
Soccer, Physics Computation, Pizza and Engineering books.
