Experience Summary
I have an MFA degree in Writing and Literature from the Program for Poets and Writers at UMass, Amherst. I have written a novel and am currently in the process of publishing it, and I have published many short stories in journals and magazines.
At UMass, I taught first-year composition, so I am eager to help you with your writing goals, whether they be creative, analytical, or anything in between. I believe that a student's writing should be at the center of any writing classroom, so if we work together I want our focus to be on your writing!
I also have over 6 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language in China, Japan, and here in the U.S. I love working with English learners and I am happy to tailor lessons to meet your personal goals. I can help you with speaking skills, test preparation, reading, writing, and grammar skills, business English, and just about any other ESL-related work you want to do.
