Experience Summary
I received my bachelor's degree in chemistry (ACS Certified) from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009 and my master's degree in organic chemistry from Vanderbilt University in 2012. Throughout my undergraduate education, I acted as an official tutor for the chemistry department and as a teaching assistant for the general chemistry and chemistry for non-majors teaching labs. As a teaching assistant, I was responsible for presenting pre-lab lectures, demonstrating experimental setups, and grading quizzes and lab reports. I have worked as a tutor since high school and have remained active as a tutor throughout my additional education.
Teaching Style
One of the best advantages of one-on-one tutoring is the opportunity to adapt your teaching style to best suit the needs of that individual student. Since all students learn differently, I strongly believe that your teaching style should remain fluid and open to change to best provide the learning environment necessary for the continued success of your students.
