Experience Summary
I have been trained by Neuhaus Dyslexia Center in Houston, TX. I have been tutoring students for two years, and absolutely love it! My desire as a dyslexia tutor is not to just teach students how to read, but to help them develop a love for reading!
Prior to tutoring, I taught at St. Thomas Episopal School in Houston, for seven years.
I received my Bachelors degree from Abilene Christian University in Interdisciplinary Studies. My focus was Eduaction and Exercise Science.
Teaching Style
I use the Orton-Gillingham method. It is a multi-sensory approach. The multi-sensory approach helps students to learn in all the different ways our brain can learn. It is a highly effective teaching approach. I am a very patient teacher who encourages students to reach their full potential.
