Experience Summary
I was a full-time sixth grade teacher with the International Baccalaureate program for elementary, middle school students. I created a classroom environment that was conducive to learning, and independent study. Recognizing my capability and talent I was given the opportunity to teach math and computers to high school students and also science and computers to all grade levels.
I volunteer at the Short Pump Elementary School as a Math Helper and I am very comfortable using the Promethean Board.
Twice in 2 consecutive years I reached to the final round of awards as the best teacher of the year who showed innovation in teaching by the Intel.
I developed plans that assisted students who required individual attention with reading and math skills, as well as independent learners. I created enriching curriculums and developed engaging classroom environments of learning and socialization.
At present, I am tutoring children from grades K through 11 the subjects of Mathematics and Science and GRE, GMAT,SAT, ASAVB MATH in-home. I have in total 15 years of teaching experience. I love to teach, and I wish to see in all students a confidence about themselves being capable to learn and be mathematically, scientifically and technologically literate.
