Experience Summary
I have over 30 years of playing and teaching experience of piano and keyboard. I feel I have an advantage as a piano teacher with perfect pitch. Even though my strength as a player is primarily jazz, I can teach all styles. I can teach using two approaches. There are students who want to learn how to read or to improve their reading skills, and then there are students who know how to read, but cannot improvise. My experience allows me to teach piano with both approaches.
Teaching Style
I like to empower the student. Hands on is important, and then let the student develop and learn by empowerment.
My Hobbies
Walking, listening to music, going to concerts.
Other Comments
I hope I am selected as a teacher. I have a lot on natural abilities that I would like to use to further develop students. I have the patience for the first time learner, and the experience for the seasoned veterans! The dividend that I always get from teaching is knowing that I am making a difference in someone's life.
