Experience Summary
I have 8 years experience writing news and features for a weekly newspaper, as well as screenwriting and fiction experience. Creative writing is my strength. I wrote a weekly humor column in collge, and have won awards in both feature and news writing. I also teach acting for grades 3-12. At the heart of all of my experience is the desire to tell stories in the most effective way possible.
Teaching Style
Teaching a student to ask questions and arrive at their own conclusions, with guided discussion, is the best way to ensure that the knoweldge stays with them. The questions are at least as important as the answers.

Other Comments
Many of the arts tie in with each other. My wide array of experience in the field lends itself to a unique perspective. I also teach acting, and helping a student figure out how to develop a character and observe details can be beneficial when they are working on narrative and creative writing.
