About Me

Experience Summary

I'm Elizabeth and I'm a student at UC Davs. I've been playing piano for almost 12 years, taking lessons for about 10 years. I've taught a few students in my lifetime--with different level ranges (from beginner to more advanced levels). Back when I was still competing, I've only played 1st and 2nd in all my competitions, nothing less. A few years back, I outgrew all my competitors in my level and was not allowed to compete anymore, so I became one of the judges in the competition. I am a patient tutor, and all my piano students have shown positive and obvious results. As a tutor, I make sure my students master certain aspects of piano before moving on, but at the same time, be able to have fun and play whatever they like. My tutoring methods change per student because everyone has a different way of learning how to play piano and require different methods of being taught. While many tutors and teachers just teach to earn money, I just want to work with students and help them excel in piano. I'm willing to go the extra mile for my students, and I will make sure they succeed and be a substantially better piano player than they were before.
