Experience Summary
I have taught for over 30 years. I have taught in middle schools and high schools, at the community college level, in the federal government, in private industry, and in the community. I hold three graduate degrees in education. I have taught in very small schools and in very large schools. I have taught in very poor schools and in very wealthy schools. I have taught in both high and low minority schools.
Teaching Style
Students vary in ability. It is the teacher’s responsibility to establish expectations for all students and to differentiate both instruction and assessment to meet the varying abilities of students.
My Hobbies
I enjoy swimming, cooking, and travelling.
Other Comments
I chose to enter the teaching profession because of my love of learning. I wanted to share the passion that I have for gaining new knowledge and skills with students. I absolutely love teaching students something new. It is very satisfying to me personally. As I have furthered my own education, through a Ph.D., I have become even more excited about learning and about sharing knowledge with students.
