Experience Summary
After earning my BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance from The Boston Conservatory, I spent the first part of my career in and out of New York City working as a dancer and singer in musical theatre in national tours, cruise lines and regional theatre. During this time, I discovered a love for dance and theatre education and have consistently coupled teaching with performing. I have worked in both studio and theatre settings with children ranging from as young as 6 through higher level education and, professionally, under both union and non-union contracts. Since recently relocating to South Florida, I have developed a comprehensive musical theatre education department at a performing arts conservatory in the Miami area and continue to perform.
Teaching Style
I love challenging my students while encouraging their growth both technically and creatively. With every new student, I enjoy discovering exactly what teaching styles and techniques will work for them specifically. Laughing is essential in my lessons, so please bring your sense of humor!
