Experience Summary
My name is Veridiana, I am Brazilian, currently PhD student in environmental analysis and Territorial Dynamics at the State University of Campinas, Unicamp, Brazil, and I am a professor in the Colégio Visconde de Porto Seguro.
My thesis will examinate the "pockets of security" (do not know what the technical term used in the U.S. for this new way of living), it is a continuation of my master's thesis "Changes in the form of occupation of urban space in Valinhos- SP: The growth of gated communities ", available in http://cutter.unicamp.br/document/?code=vtls000440439.
I finished my credits in July 2011 and I'm beginning the process of writing the thesis, which in principle would be made only in Brazil, however, due to my husband being transferred to the U.S, we are moving to the city of Plano, Texas.
