Experience Summary
*Taught 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades. Developed many hands on lessons to enrich understanding of Science lessons. Have a masters degree in LA specializing in the teaching of reading. Have focused on helping students get meaning from information texts and communicate that information in their writing.
Teaching Style
I like to make learning as hands on as well as applicable to their interests as possible. I expect students to give their best effort, but recognize each person's frustration level and ability is different. I like to set attainable goals with the child and then encourage them in each step they make toward meeting those goals.
My Hobbies
Enjoy watching the Detroit Tigers, soccer, and basketball. I like to camp, bike, play card and board games.
