Experience Summary
I have been expanding my knowledge of and technical abolity in art as long as I can remember. After taking Advanced Placement art classes in high school and seperate college courses in drawing, I attended Brandeis University and graduated with Fine Arts degree. My specialty was oil painting, but I also was able to advance my drawing, scultping, digital photography, and printmaking skills. I recieved high honors for my painting thesis and the Celia Epstein Baron Fine Arts Award. I have helped many of my peers learn basic and more advanced drawing and painting techniques. I also was trained as a counselor in school and have enjoyed forming one on one connections with people.
Teaching Style
I usually allow the student to dictate the course of our methods. Art is an open, explorative endevor and everyone should be able to formulate their own motivation and process. I guide and teach them when it comes to the technicality, and help push their creativity, but try to allow them to take the reigns t help make their art just that - their own.
My Hobbies
I enjoy exploring all artistic mediums in my free time. I also enjoy writing, biking, running, spending times with my friends and family, and traveling whenever I am able.
