Experience Summary
Lisa is very active in the theatre world as a producer, director and choreographer and master teacher. Lisa’s choreography of the hit show “TAP KIDS” has been featured on stages worldwide including a sold out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland where the show received a five star review, and on television at the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. She received a SSDC fellowship to work with choreographer Kathleen Marshall on the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Follies” where she acted as assistant to the choreographer and coach to leading man Treat Williams. Lisa directed and choreographed the musical “Scrooge” which in addition to touring nationally for 4 seasons, appeared in NYC off-Broadway at The Lambs Theater and at Lincoln Center at The Walter Reade Theatre. She was director/choreographer of the musical “Dream” which premiered at The Spencer Theater, NM. Lisa taught professional level Theatre jazz and tap at Steps on Broadway for 9 years and toured as an adjudicator and master teacher with NYCDA. She also performed with Manhattan Tap for two seasons. Her distinctive style has made her much in demand in the U.S. and internationally as teacher, choreographer and performer including trips to Israel, Europe, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Other director/Choreographer credits include the workshop of the new musical play “Talkies” at the Century Center in NYC, “Murder They Danced “ at Toronto’s Premiere Dance, “1940’s Radio Hour” at The Emelin Theater in New York. Her work has been commissioned by Dance Companies including Extended Dance Theater and Off Center Dance Theater, “Scrooge: The Musical” Off-Broadway at The Lamb’s Theater in NYC, and national tours. She has been billed as “one of New York’s leading choreographers” for work in The Gypsy Project. Lisa holds an Honors BFA in Dance from York University, in Toronto, Canada .
