I am a native Spanish speaker from Spain who lives in Mill Creek. Exceptionally knowledgeable, creative and innovative Foreign Language Teacher (Spanish), with a Bachelors Degree in Teaching, and seven years experience teaching Spanish. My experience in teaching ranges from 6 years of age to adult groups. I recently worked at The Pokémon Company International as Spanish Localization Editor (contract position). My tasks included editing of Spanish localized text for current Pokémon projects; for example game text of current Nintendo DS tittles Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, localization editing and proofreading of websites Pokemon.es and Pokemonblackwhite.es, editing of the official Strategy Guide for Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version.
I have extensive experience teaching Spanish. I worked as Spanish teacher at Edmonds Woodway High School where I taught advance and intermediate Spanish classes. I prepared lessons plans and classroom materials and arranged classroom demonstrations. I also graded essays and examinations.
I also worked as Spanish teacher at Mountlake Terrace High School where I developed and implemented comprehensive lessons that accommodated all levels of learners. I also incorporated educational activities that engaged students in meaningful learning experiences. I worked with three Spanish native speaker students within the class, identified, selected and modified resources to meet student’s diverse needs. I integrated multicultural units, and grammar worksheets to vary lessons and consolidate lessons.
I also worked as Spanish teacher back in England where I lived for a few years. I worked at Multilingua UK Ltd (UK) as Spanish tutor.
I taught several Spanish courses to adult groups at Airbus UK and Bristol Airport. Ensured comfortable learning experience, and ability to actively participate in the learning process.
I worked at South Gloucestershire Adult and Community Learning Center (UK)as part time Spanish tutor.
I taught and prepared Spanish assignments. Reviewed and corrected all homework with an emphasis on providing feedback to each student. These courses ranged from beginners to advanced level.
