Experience Summary
I have taught high school Spanish in a Christian school for 3 years. In college, I traveled to South America 3 times, and returned after graduating to teach in a language institute in Chile. I have many years of leadership experience as well as one-on-one teaching experience having taught private piano lessons for 9 years.
Teaching Style
Laid-back, speech-focused. Although I am an expert and grammar and understanding grammar by relating it to English, I am a firm believer that simply speaking the language using subjects the student is interested in is the best way to learn and retain a language. I am very qualified to prepare the student for an exam, but also prepare them for conversation in Spanish or Italian.
My Hobbies
Writing music, playing the piano, spending time with my husband and boxer puppy (Patches), volleyball, tennis, hiking, current events, and of course - learning languages!
