I am a graphic designer and fine arts professional with twenty years’ experience. My work has been recognized by the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors and the American Society of Business Publication Editors with awards for excellence in publication design and typography.
A native Clevelander, I began my professional career as an editorial production designer and worked for many years in the local publishing industry. While living in both London and New York over a period of four years, I switched my focus to the fine-art industry, completing research-based assignments with Sotheby’s in London and Bloomsbury Auctions in New York. While in New York I ran monthly online auctions for a large Manhattan antiques firm. Here I supervised the the photography, cataloging, and strategic marketing of thousands of objects, along with the development and maintenance of a comprehensive Web site. I earned a BFA in Graphic Design at The University of Akron and an MA in Fine and Decorative Art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London, for which I was awarded Sotheby's competitive Lynn Snyder Scholarship.
I currently reside in Westlake, Ohio, where I am a visual communications instructor, college professor, and independent art and design consultant.
