Experience Summary
I have worked as an elementary math and reading tutor under the Supplemental Educational Services for the University of West Florida, and I am currently working as a tutor for Advanced Learners. In the fall of 2012, I will graduate from the University of West Florida with my Bachelor's Degree in ESE Elementary Education with a minor degree in ESOL.
Teaching Style
Providing a calm and productive learning environment is my goal for each every student. By holding high expectations for learning, I strive to build confident critical thinkers. Through teacher-student interactions, it is important to guide and direct students by asking questions, exploring options, suggesting alternatives, and encouraging them to develop criteria to make informed choices. Overall, my goal is to help children to have the ability to grow as independent, diligent students who are able to take initiative and responsibility in their learning.
