Experience Summary
Taught ASL as part-time for 31 years at many different sites in America and Canada. Taught ASL at Charter school, Deaf school, several community colleges and few of universities. Taught ASL at Adult community and Recreation center in Toronto, Canada and now I am teaching part-time at Los Gatos Recreation program. Plus several time online tutoring who lives in distance location.
Teaching Style
Focus on receptive and expressive skills in the beginning of ASL.
Use non-manual functional approach and emphasize on facial grammar skills and body language skills.
Strongly use assessment and evaluation by one to one dialogue and sometime within a group.
My Hobbies
Hiking, biking, and collect many different things related to American Sign Language arts work.
Other Comments
Have knowledges about Deaf culture, history, and the role of being Deaf interpreter.
