Experience Summary
I am a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology. I have dedicated my life to the study of microorganisms and have been a contributor to the field since 2003. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2005, where I obtained a wealth of experience and knowledge of biology, with an emphasis on biochemistry, genetics, and molecular biology. I carried on my studies at VCU in the Fall of 2005, where I mastered the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the field of microbial research and development.
Teaching Style
I have tutoring experience in the field of virology and viral/cell genetics (at the graduate level). My teaching philosophy was to have the student come in very prepared with questions/comments about the areas that were troubling them. I then went through area of study by area of study, and explained in the simplest terms the background, reasoning, and philosophy behind the science.
