Experience Summary
I have been a pastoral minister for 25 years, have taught refugees English as a Second Language, have taught community college courses as an adjunct instructor,
have taught innumerable courses within the congregations I have served, including an after school tutoring program for young children. I am competent to tutor in English (all levels), history, and social sciences and love interacting with students.
Teaching Style
I love interacting with children and teenagers. I have worked with all kinds of students-- those who are developmentally challenged, those from different cultures (I have traveled broadly in Latin America and Europe and lived in the MIddle East - in Iran- during '07 and '08), those with behavioral challenges, and those who learn quickly. I am warm and interactive while holding the student accountable to keep learning and achieving.
