Experience Summary
My first career was teaching. I always thought it would be a good place to start and a springboard to another career perhaps in business. As it turned out, that's what happened. After 7 years teaching in the public schools, I went back to school for my second masters degree and prepared for my business career. My degree in Communications has lead me to various positions in technical writing, publications, and printing quality control. Now, I'm ready to return to students and teaching.
Teaching Style
I believe education is the window to success. There are as many teaching styles as there are learners and the true key to success of any teacher and/or student is finding the partnership that works. I won't do the work for the student, but I'm patient in assisting a student in achieving their own goals and fulfilling their needs. Kids are great! Learning is great! I love to read and write. Now, I'm reading about 1,000 pages a week and would love to have a buddy join me. It's truly a wonderful way to go. One of my favorite quotes is "To write well, read." They go hand in hand.
