Experience Summary
I am a graduate of Cetral Washington University, with a BA in Elementary Education and a Minor in Reading. Before enrolling at the university and during my time there, I worked with elementary school children, helping them with Reading, Writing and Math skills. I have a special interest in Reading in Writing and enjoy helping students"turn on the Lights" on these skills.
I have 10+ plus years teaching as a certified teacher and some experience as an undergraduate. I have worked in diverse school distrcict with many family of various races and economical situations.
Teaching Style
I believe students learn best in a situation they feel safe in. Not all students learn at the same pace, learning style, or level. I take these things into consideration as I am planning lessons. I usually try a varity of ways to get the lesson across, through group teaching, buddy system, one-on-one, worlshops, stations, games, what have you. It depends on my students and the lesson.
