Experience Summary
My commitment to tutoring as community service started in High School and continued through my years as an undergraduate at Earlham College. I have been a tutor/mentor for 7 years, teaching Life Skills, English, Social Studies, History, Biology, Chemistry, English, French, Piano, Voice, and Music Theory. My education has provided me with extensive experience with proofreading, editing, laboratory and field research and the ensuing reports, papers, and presentations.
Teaching Style
I have been a tutor, mentor, au pair, babysitter, and teaching assistant. Through these experiences, I have grown into a patient teacher who rejoices in the small and the large achievements of my students. I believe that children and young adults can be focused, efficient learners if they are taught learning skills that will help them throughout their lives.
