I founded, owned and operated the Idaho School of Professional Hypnosis for 10 years, teaching hypnosis and hypnotherapy at a professional level. I co-developed the curriculum, designed the teaching strategy, and was the lead instructor.
Teaching Style
I use the Socratic method, meeting the students where they are, and using gentle questioning to build on that base. I start with the assumption that all children are gifted learners, and communicate that belief to them. It is essential to create a base of success upon which to build future success. I also spend time finding something to like deeply about each child; and discovering what the child is interested in. When an adult takes an interest in the child's world, and shares that interest in a positive reinforcing manner, it opens to door to learning.

I have raised two children and three step-children. I have been an active part of their learning experience, and I have tutored them, or assisted them, through every level of elementary and secondary education. I have a professional specialty working with children in pain and suffering from irritable bowel syndrome, and have a special touch with children between 6 and 17.
