Experience Summary
As the daughter of a dedicated teacher, I volunteered, tutored, and offered any help that I could to my mother and her colleagues. I have recently earned my BS in Psychology, which has enabled me to gain experiences in my areas including science, math, english, and, of course, mental processes. I share with my mother a love of working with children and a special way of connecting with them that puts that at ease but also commands respect. I am a mother of two children with special needs and the experiences that I've been through with them have given me experience with social services on a local, state, and federal level and can therefore understand children who need that extra bit of attention. I am also bilingual.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with children and seeing their minds open and grow. Although children may learn different ways and at different speeds, I believe that any child can be motivated to learn if you just give them your patience. I prefer to stay on task and complete it in an organized manner that makes sense to the child. I want them to understand the subject that they are studying in a way that gives them confidence to do it alone. A child who reaches their full potential is a successful one.
