Experience Summary
I love to learn, and my truest passion is for math. I have outstanding, proven skills in not only mathematics, but also in written and oral communication
My teaching experience is in the areas of math and accounting, two very different disciplines requiring unique skills and thought processes. I have enjoyed teaching students in formalized classroom settings, as well as in one-on-one tutoring sessions, large auditorium lectures, and even via live, televised campus tutoring shows.
Since 1996, I have had the privilege of teaching the following topics:
- Introductory & College Algebra
- Precalculus & Calculus I
- Statistics
- SAT, GMAT, & GRE Preparation
- Macroeconomics & Microeconomics
- Financial & Managerial Accounting
Teaching Style
As much as I love to learn, I love to teach! I am passionate about working with students at the high school and college level, as an instructor, mentor, and advisor. It's of primary importance to me to reach and make learning accessible to each student in the classes I teach. I very much enjoy the opportunity to help students develop not only study skills, but also career focus and professionalism.
Many of my high school math students could pinpoint the exact day on which they were "turned off" to math, typically due solely to the attitude of a teacher. Not every student will be gifted in my area of expertise, but with patience and respect, I am able to help each learner succeed.
