Experience Summary
I started by tutoring introduction to chemistry- college level at the University of Texas - El Paso where I attended. This was a part time student job that made me consider teaching. I then tutored chemistry, physics, and mathematics at a nearby high school. This was the preparation for the state exam (Texas) called TAKS. This introduced me to the high school level and I liked it. I went ahead and worked with the school district for one more semester before I was assigned a school for my internship/student teaching. After I graduated, I moved to Colorado (Greeley) where I worked at Northridge high school as a math teacher 2009-2010 school year.
Teaching Style
I prefer using activities to introduce new concepts and to veryfy, validate, and or, proof the information that we collect from a lesson. I am patient and I listen to students very well before I make judgements. I believe that if all students are accomodated in ways that fit their learning styles/preferences such as audio, visual, or practical, all students will succed.
