Experience Summary
I graduated Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education/Human Growth and Development with a concentration in English. Through my coursework I was able to develop the necessary skills to deliver lessons in all areas of general education for elementary school grades. I have over 10 years of experience in childcare facilities and after graduating college I taught Kindergarten for 2 years in a private school. This past school year I was a tutor in Connecticut and successfully helped children raise their reading, mathematics and science levels.
Teaching Style
I have always loved working with children. I’m a strong believer that the most successful teachers are the ones who are able to recognize how their student learns and find ways to adapt the teaching style so that the child can be successful. In order to do this it is important for the teacher student relationship to be strong and trusting. I am patient and determined. I believe that not all children learn the same ways and it is important to incorporate all styles of teaching into the curriculum. I believe that children are all given wonderful talents and it is a teacher’s job to help extract these talents and develop them starting at an early age.
