Experience Summary
For the past 6 years I have had the opportunity to be a tutor for both local area high schools as well as a tutor at the University of Central Florida. I just recently finished earning my degree in Molecular and Microbiology and have a wealth of information in the sciences. I have helped many students in areas such as biology, chemistry (organic included), physiology, immunology, anatomy, and many medical sciences as well as MCAT, and DAT prep. I enjoy teaching because I get to stay fluent with the knowledge I have gained as well as to pass on little hints and tricks to help others succeed.
Teaching Style
I have numerous styles to teaching all depending on what works best for each individual. I can walk students through material, or present it in a simulation/ real world format. I can also create a quiz based learning environment where you learn by answering questions. These are just a few ways I can teach subjects, each student is unique and therefore should be taught based on his or her preferences and I am always more than willing to adapt to whichever way a student feels comfortable. I also enjoy working with those who are not taking advanced sciences. I believe fostering a solid foundation in grade school students is essential and I have experience working with kids at young as 8.
