Experience Summary
I am a very driven and accomplished young adult, obtaining a BS in Chemistry in only three years while tutoring and grading exams for chemistry students and working in various labs. I have almost 3 years of industry experience working as a formulator for the Dial Corporation. I have taken upper level course work specifically on teaching chemistry to students up to general college coursework. I have also taught a couple years of Sunday School and have brought young elementary students from behind to ahead in all areas of coursework while nannying in the past. I am competent with English, mathematics, and all of the sciences, especially chemistry and physics.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is showing the kids that they can do anything if they put their heart into it and show effort. I like to give them the tools they need to learn and grow without handicapping them. I believe that I give proper support for a student to work through their weaknesses, and I believe that struggling through a problem will not only increase their learning experience, but will provide a much more rewarding experience and feed the desire to continue to learn. I am good at reading each individual students personality traits and what methods will work best to teach them.
