Experience Summary
I am a graduate from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor Degree in Communications. I have been studying American Sign Language for the past 8 years. I have been an Instructional Assistant for a deaf and hard of hearing class for two years. I have been teaching American Sign Language for the Language Door for 4 months and I have been a freelance interpreter for the past 2 months.
Teaching Style
I have a passion for working with deaf students but I also love teaching hearing students ASL. I make my classes fun by providing various ASL games. I also provide many dialogues to prepare the students to communicate with the deaf outside of class. I also attend many deaf events in the community and encourage my students to attend to become comfortable signing with deaf people.
