Experience Summary
I have tutored students in high school, undergraduate, and graduate school for three years. I have a BS in Biology, professional experience in public health, and an MS in Biomedical Science. My work in clinical research and laboratory research gives me extensive experience in writing papers and reports. Additionally, I am fluent in Thai and Laotian.
Teaching Style
I was drawn to tutoring because I once benefited from one. I came to the U.S. when I was five years old and had a difficult time understanding many topics, especially the sciences. With the help of a tutor, I eventually gained the confidence to overcome these obstacles. Students learn in many ways and I believe repetition and application is the best way to solve many scientific problems. Therefore, my ultimate goal for each student is to develop a firm foundation and teach me what they have learned. Tutoring is not limited to those who need to pass classes, in fact, I believe tutoring is essential to help students gain the edge they desire. I am fun, energetic, and take pride in seeing students achieve their academic goals.
