Experience Summary
Even as a teenager I was very much driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education. My primary love was for mathematics and science. I have earned a BS in Chemistry and a PhD in Organic Chemistry, the later from the prestigious University of California in Santa Cruz. In addition, I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to my writing research papers and reports. I have numerous years experience teaching at the University of California and mentoring in the biotechnology industry. I have helped kids, students, and professionals enhance their knowledge basis, improve their self-confidence, and spark their desire for achievement.
Teaching Style
I love teaching small groups and/or individuals, children or adults. This setting allows me to pay attention and adjust my teaching style and content to the requirements of the student. I am willing to change my methods until I find the approach that works. My love and extensive working experience with math, science (chemistry in particular) and the field of biotechnology inspires my students at any age and makes a difference in the way they look and get involved with these subjects. I strive to make a difference in all of my students' lives.
