Experience Summary
I believe that education and learning are two of the most exciting and fulfilling elements of life and believe that helping others to learn is a way to give something back to this world. I have a Masters degree in Business. Not surprisingly, my math skills are quite good. Additionally, I possess strong communication skills (verbal and written) and am working on my first novel. In my professional life, I have managed staff and welcomed opportunities to teach and mentor. An intern from years ago recently contacted me and told me that he still fondly remembers us working on a white board to problem solve an issue. I believe that learning and problem solving should be fun, a puzzle that can be cracked if we just approach it the right way.
Teaching Style
I love the learning process. Few things in life are as rewarding as teaching and learning. Stylistically, I would consider myself to a patient and passionate, yet challenging teacher. I try to understand the learning style of each person and try to direct my efforts in ways that are conducive to each individual's learning style.
I try to inject real life examples into teaching as I believe that relevance helps in the process. Also, I like to infuse humor into the process as I believe that most people learn when their minds are open and anxiety-free.
