Experience Summary
I am a graduate of North Greenville University. I gained my Bachelors in Elementary Education. Through NGU I was given many opportunities to work with various grade levels. I worked 2 years at Blue Ridge Christ Academy and taught 3rd grade science and language arts. The curriculum had a strong foundation in phonics and specific reading patterns. I gained experience for best practices for beginning and/or struggling readers. I continued my eduction at Furman University and gain my Masters in Early Childhood. I worked at SHARE Head Start in a 4 year old clasroom and gained experience with the little ones. My main objective was to ensure that they were prepared for kindergarten by teaching them the foundations of writing & reading.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with students of all ages up through 6th grade. I firmly believe that all students have the ability to learn...some may just learn in different ways. I'm very patient and considerate of the capabilities my students have or perhaps may be working on. I wish to help them succeed to the best of my abilities. I want to make it a fun, inviting environment for them so that they will want to learn and maybe even enjoy learning. I want to make an impact in the students I teach.
