Experience Summary
I was a substitute teacher in 1993 for Toledo Public School systems. I have earned two bachelor's degrees, one is in Psychology, the other in Accounting. I also have 6 years of retail management experience which included training new staff and refresher training on computerized cash registers and company policies and procedures. I also have self-taught myself Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as a variety of computer software.
Teaching Style
I utilize visual as well as verbal examples as I have found everyone has different methods for learning. I'm not afraid to use coins/checkers, etc., for teaching math. I also like to emphasize key words for learning definitions/terminology. I enjoy helping my children with their homework and they find some of my techniques funny.
