Experience Summary
I am a science enthusiast and have been involved in mentoring, teaching and guiding young minds to appreciate science and mathematics for the past two decades. I have started my PhD in Chemistry (but paused for a while) because I want further depth in the subject matter as a scientist keen to explore. It is this spirit of adventure and exploration of science that I try to generate in my students. I have a certification and full training as a Montessori Teacher which has enabled me to teach the entire spectrum from K through 12 and gain phenomenal insight into different ways of learning, doing and thinking.
Teaching Style
Learn, think, design, experiment, analyze, re-learn, assimilate, connect, understand, apply and then move on to the next topic. each aspect of this sequence is important and critical but the order of the process varies with chronology of age, ability to connect facts and ideas, nature of the environment and intrinsic inclinations of young individuals which may show a propensity in one direction or the other. Enabling each student to ask the right question is key to transform them into lifelong learners. Teaching the facts is essential but not as mundane words but in a manner that sparks their imagination.
